Adorable Yet Thrilling
I love everything this show does. There is the perfect amount of romance, drama, mystery and more. The balance between everything this show tries to do and with the amount of characters it has is impressive. I adore the dynamics between the characters and truly love each and every one of their stories. We follow a big city nurse who, after tragedy strikes, moves to a small yet lively town. We watch as she tries to navigate her trauma and grieving while also trying to make a new path for herself. Her character is charming, independent and strong willed. For a romance I just love the grit she has while staying to her true self while also trying to reimagine herself and her new life. Virgin River is filled with individuals and the producers did a really amazing job at juggling all their stories, histories and screen time. It was really easy to become invested in each character and their struggles. It also has great representation, not with just the cast but also with other aspects like mental health including PTSD and such. I found the multiple forms of mystery to be compelling and something you don't always see in drama like this. It was refreshing that though this is used to propel the plot it isn't the main aspect and they don't have it there just for kicks It takes quite awhile before you find out some things. Ex. The cliff hanger at the end of season two isn't revealed in season three, thus it's something they'd have to give us within season 4 or later. This show is definitely entertaining. The romance is top notch with multiple characters and the drama aspect with relationship, friendships and everything in between is just so well done. There's that mystery aspect and at times it feels very thrilling! It was just fast paced enough without feeling like too much was thrown at you and I honestly can't wait for the next season. Netflix did a good job with this one!
