The latest book in Mark Garrett's series of fantasy thrillers. An Angel No More follows on from Mark's previous books - Return to Genesis, Angels Cry Too, Angel Child, Trial of Casserhan and Golden Dawn. At the start of the series, Paul Sayers was an ordinary man, but when he met Rebecca, his guardian angel, their meeting became the catalyst for a succession of life-changing events. In his latest novel, we catch up with Paul, who has eradicated an entire timeline by using a powerful Guardian crystal. To ensure the continuity of the timeline and to keep Rebecca, his Guardian and love, safe, he ends his life. Returning to Casserhan, the realm of lost souls, he's reunited with his father and begins his adventures on the Clearwater Ocean. After taking a ship from the feared Marauders, he's confronted with the need to return to his former life - unaware that Rebecca has deserted her Guardian sisters and followed him to Casserhan. Meanwhile, banished former Guardian, Ellerstelle, has discovered Paul's involvement in the death of her followers. Wanting the crystal she believes he possesses, she sets a trap for his return, also sending men to seize Rebecca and Paul's parents. Paul returns, only to fall foul of a violent gang, and wakes months later in a private institute. A specialist under Ellerstelle's orders tries to convince Paul that his entire life is a fantasy, linked to a previous mental breakdown. Despite his poor condition, Paul escapes the institute and teams up with Persephone, his twin sister in a previous life, and sends her to retrieve his crystal. He travels solo to the Geological Museum in London, with Ellerstelle's followers in pursuit, relying on an old tale to lead him to a second crystal. Will Paul find the crystal and return to Casserhan to save Rebecca and his family - or will Ellerstelle put paid to his plans once and for all?
